1. Introductions

The Scott rubbing friction testing machine is used to test the rubbing resistance of materials such as leather, fabrics, and coated fabrics. During the test, overlap the cloth surfaces of two specimens in the same direction, and then place them in the Scott rubbing friction testing machine fixture with a spacing of 30mm. Gradually reduce the distance between the fixtures, so that the cloth surfaces of the two specimens lightly contact and apply a load. The distance between the two specimens is reduced to a load of 9.8N. Under the condition of a frequency of 120 times/minute and a stroke of 50mm, repeat 1000 times to observe whether there are cracks, damage, or separation between the fabric and the coating on the surface of the artificial leather.
